Sealer/Stain Finally Done!

This first shot taken from the other side of the canal shows that I've finished applying the sealer/stain. Note that I had enough left to do the bulkhead all the way to the property lines on both sides. By the way, the house is not really leaning to the right - that's just the way I take pictures sometimes. Sorry!

This is just another shot from a different angle. You can see where I used the weed-eater to clear a path in front of the deck so I could easily get to the bulkhead. It was kinda "snakey-looking" down there before I did that! Of course, now I wish I'd taken the time to weed-eat all of that stuff in front of the boat slip while the water was down. Oh well!

Also, in this picture you can see 2 places that still need staining. First, there are a couple of pickets in the foreground, one missing and one broken, that lost a fight with a backhoe. I've since replaced both of those with new, stained pickets. Finally, there's still the upper portion of the 8x8 on the front porch. I'll have to borrow my builder's 30-foot extension ladder to do that.

The last picture just shows the main part of the deck and how nice it looks with the sealer-stain applied. All the pictures on this page were taken on 9/19/06.
